Every new employee goes through a probationary period of 6 months. The CEO / Directors reserve the right of waiving/Reducing the probationary period based on the recommendations of General Manager Branch.
- The initial 6 months gives the employee’s supervisor a reasonable period of time to evaluate his/her performance. During the initial period, he/she will undergo an overall induction programme as well as an orientation programme with the senior management of the ETA Engineering Pvt. Ltd.
- Closer to the completion of the probationary period, the employee and his/her supervisor may discuss his/her performance and a work review will be conducted.
- Under appropriate circumstances, if the supervisor concludes that he/she is not progressing or performing satisfactorily, his/her probation period may be extended by another 3 months.
- Based on the GM’s “satisfactory” recommendation, the employee’s service will be confirmed and a Letter of Confirmation will be issued.
- An employee cannot be considered a confirmed employee without being issued a Letter of Confirmation.
- An employee is considered a ‘regular employee’ during probationary period and can avail of all facilities-except loans, privilege leave etc, perquisites etc. just as any other regular employee.
- During the probationary period, the service of the employee can be terminated with 30 days notice from either side.
